Hello, The difference when you go private is beyond description. Suddenly you are treated like a human being, and being in the same room as the doctor is a revelation. Instead of being treated like lowlife there is someone who listens. It shouldn't be this way but sadly in my experience it is.
I am not talking of course about someone who spends most of their time working in the NHS and tops up their salary with a little private work on the side, but someone who has chosen to opt OUT of the NHS to actually help patients. Some people are very lucky and actually find an NHS doctor who will diagnose and treat, but countless others are left out in the cold.
It wasn't until we chose to go private (something we could really not afford) that someone actually took my daughter seriously.
So my advice would be to get the list of private doctors from Louise thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/diagno... and go from there.
Good luck, Jane x x
i wonder if there are any studies relating to the costs of treatment between nhs and private nhs is a scam 9 quid for a box of tissues you can get 2 in the pound store nursing used to be a vocation thankfully there are still a few out there anybody know a doctor over 39 that is not worth a million pounds net worth you tell me SORRY THIS IS NOT A RAVE SITE but i am well on your side i hope you find someone to listen with a bit of clout regards m
My friend lives in Ireland, and she has to pay 40 -50 euros just for a consultation with her doctor. The prescription costs are sky high. Things will get worse here too if the tories continue, accident and emergency are already on headline news cos they cant cope.

This is a fact. My sister pays 80 euros a month for her levo alone.
I know it's worse elsewhere my son lives in Poland as it happens he's with Bupa but his girlfriend pays a lot of money to see her doctor? The Tories would like to see that happen here. I'm not getting treated for anything I have.
I know the NHS has it`s problems, but can you imagine life without it? we`d have the same situation as in the USA, where people without money for treatment are left to suffer & die because they can`t afford to see a doctor.
I was told today that I don't have a fungal mouth by palliative doctor. As I have fungal hives in my mouth she is wrong. I also showed her the checklist for thyroid which I ticked all the boxes. She told me I don't have that at all. She also told me I don't have streptococcus. That is not the doctor with clout I was looking for.
