No but what i have learnt is this:you need to actively find feedback about named individuals and then fight to see that person specifically.

This is really difficult to do because i recently detected a pattern in the NHS: and it's not coincidence, this happened to me at several hospitals.

I asked to see a named individual, impressed it upon nhs gp.

I found the system is not set up to even allow your gp to ensure to see a specific person.

Once you get the appointment, there is EVERY chance you will be fobbed off with a registrar.

This happened to me 3 times at 3 hospitals within 4 months.

One hospital told me that only private patients were guaranteed the specialist; the rest of us nhs beggars would have to see whoever was there ie registrar

Another hospital said: well this is the nhs

Another one said: you will never be guaranteed the specialist and as far as the hospital is concerned, as long as you have had an appt with some one - they have discharged their obligation.

Shocking and infuriating.

Thank you Bluedaffodil. I am exhausted with NHS begging too. I am not lucky enough to have any family or anybody who could supply me with enough funds to approach private care. It is not an option any more. I do not work because of illness and because I was the only person that used to maintain me then now I am on benefits and I hate it but I cant do anything about it as I cannot get proper treatment, recover and go back to work. How to live in this situation. I do not know.

I am asking about UCLH because I have been referred to st barts in London ( referral took a lot of begging too) and now after the referral has been passed on to them the registrar is trying to fob me off. It looks like the referral is being rejected so more begging in the front of me! Yes!! Life is wonderful....

thank you once again for your reply and best wishes to you.
