Worth a go as cutting out foods for a few days will let you know if you feel better or not.

Are you allowed ground up flax? Works wonders on constipation but not sure if diverticulosis will be agravated. Worth asking yr Dr.

I have heard this so may try, I should think it will be ok if it's ground? How much do you have and how long should it take to work?

1-2 tablespoons. If you grind up enough to last a few days keep it in the fridge as it can go off in warmth. I reckon you will see a difference in a couple of days.

Make sure you drink lots of liquid with or after as it soaks up liquid and becomes gel like. The extra liquid helps it move through your bowel.

Good luck :-)

My daughter has kept her diverticulitis (painfully misdiagnosed for years!) following the plan in Arthur White's book Diverticulitis. I haven't compared the food recommendations to FODMAPS but there may be some overlap. Not just diet but mild exercise, etc.
