i think i have ibs...

firsty may i say....my dr is asian and i feel i cant speak to them. i once went with my little boy and say a nursery nurse thinks blah blah is wrong with him and they pretty much ate my head by saying they are the dr not my friend.

when i searched ibs symptoms it screamed everything that i am suffering atm but only been like this for a week, so may be something different.

abdominal pain and cramping - when i need the loo. and i have to go there and then, as a matter of ergency.

a change in your bowel habits – i normally go once/twice a week and its hard (sorry tmi), i'm now going every other day and its soft

bloating and swelling of your abdomen - i've noticed bloating alot lately :(

excessive wind (flatulence) - windy both ends and smells alot

an urgent need to go to the toilet - tonight i had the erge and had to run.

a feeling that you need to open your bowels even if you have just been to the toilet - everytime i go the loo i feel i need to go again.

a feeling you have not fully emptied your bowels - i felt relieved until i had cleaned and was ready to get off the loo :(

also twice i have experenced ALOT of pain in my lower ribs all away around to my back. once i have a blanket on me and stayed as still as possiable the pain begins to decrease. first time it happened i was breastfeeding in just my bra as it came on. second time i was in a warm room, with my pjs on caring for my three children.

could this be related? help. does any of this sound like ibs?

It sounds like ibs because it is....usually when it starts it is bad, you need to find your way of coping with it and you need to be diagnosed by a dr x

What you've described sounds very much like IBS, all the classic symptoms are in your list; however, I'd agree that you should seek a formal diagnosis, just in case.

ive had the same problems over the last few days :( the belching started first. then sunday i woke up and had this acid kinda feeling. over the course of the day i started 2 feel sick , but wasnt actually sick. woke up monday morning 2 stomach cramps . the sick feeling sort of disappared over the cause of the day. then come after skool time i literally had 2 run 2 the loo. since then i feel a little better. but now have the headache from hell . Looked up all my symptons and they seem 2 point 2 IBS .

Not what you're looking for?
