Can IBS feel like period pains?

I have been diagnosed with IBS and a gynea problem which the dr's say is now sorted. I also have pelvic adhesions due to a nasty infection I had 2 years ago. I'm struggling to be able to tell whether it's period pains or IBS pains I'm getting. Does anyone get both and how do you know what's causing the pain? Thanks in advance x

All I can say is that to me the IBS pains feels like when I was having contractions giving birth. The pain is horrendous and period pains are not that severe.

I had endometriosis and the IBS and endo pains were often the same for me. Still occassionaly I have pains that I think are period pain and turn out to be IBS. Also when I have my period my IBS goes haywire!

I have this and I believe it is my colon trying to work but blocked. I also have PD. It's quite severe sometimes I wish I'd have this baby sooon
