in a lot of pain dowm left side,colpermin not working,is there anything that does work.

Colpermin never worked for me. I take loperamide, buscopan and alverine every day as well as a prebiotic and a vitamin. I will sometimes take a windeeze tablet if I have left pain just to rule out trapped wind

Try buscopan with paracetamol it works better for me than colpermin. also try drinking peppermint tea.

If the pain in your left side continues get it checked out as its classic diverticular pain lower left.

YOu will just have to try different things like, Peppermint tea, peppermint oil/ capsules. Mebeverin, buscopan . These can be found in boots or from your GP. Everyone is different and its hard to say what really helps

I get strong bowel spsam on the left side but had diverticulitis ruled out via a colonoscopy I do find doubling up on the buscopan can help and if you can a hot water bottle might offer some relief but if this is a new pain do get it checked out by your GP and I actually found colpermin made my pain worse, worth bearing in mind. the only thing that helps with my pain is co codamol

Turmuric tablets have helped a lot plus already take co codamol,plus keeping on with the pepermint oil,i urge others to try turmaric.
