is there an antispasmodic available in the USA that is good for IBS-C ?

\do you know of a pharmacy in the UK or CANADA THAT WILL SHIP MEREVERINE TO THE USA ?

these questions should be perhaps addressed to one of your gastroenterologists

many thanks! balkpath

I had a prescription for one not covered by my insurance. It didn't do much good, and when I looked up anti-spasmodic in my herb book, it listed mint. Mint tea, etc.

I meant a real drug, not an herbal.

Many thanks, balkpath

In the UK we have mebeverine hydrochloride (Colofac) and hyoscine butylbromide (Buscopan); both available on prescription and over the counter, but I think they aren't FDA approved so I don't think you'd be able to have them legally shipped to the US by a licenced UK pharmacy. However, I did some digging and found a similar drug available in the US called hyoscyamine, it seems to be prescription only but there's a list of brand names on the link -nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/dru.... I could be wrong on the hyoscyamine as I'm not an expert on US medicines but I do hope this is helpful in some way!
