does anyone suddenly experience an excess of intestinal gas and then having to use the bathroom a lot? seems to come on very suddenly. i also have endometriosis so may be related to that but wondering if anyone else experiences this

Yes. And it arrives at very inconvenient times. Hellish pain diarrohea. Cannot leave house

I used to suffer badly from painful gas followed by diarrhoea but I now take peppermint tablets and decaffeinated tea. The biggest help was going onto decaffeinated tea and coffee, it has made such a difference. I still get flare ups but no where as bad as before.

I have recently read that endometriosis and IBS are linked but can't remember details. Is it IBS-D? Does your IBS flare up in synchrony with your period? Dealing with both must be very hard! Googling 'endometriosis IBS link' provided some interesting information.

Yes it's exactly my symptoms, I hardly even pass wind unless I'm sitting on the loo, then I explode.

wow, your only 20! This should not be happening to you. The IBS is gassy first, then sudden trips to the bathroom several times. You might just be eating something doing this, try and eat less veggies, more meat, veggies have Lectins, look them up on you tube. They can be really hard on your gut.
