Rapeseed oil, soya

I have recently undertaken some allergy/intolerance testing. The major issues appear to be rapeseed, soya and sesame. The others are what I already knew: milk protein, brassicas and legumes.

I am finding it so difficult to find products, such as mayonnaise, horseradish sauce etc, with no rapeseed oil or soya in them. Has anybody out there found any?

Thanks

Hi there, my intolerances are similar to yours - in my case eggs, soya, dairy and onions. Soya is the worst as it is EVERYTHING even things like bread. Hellmann's do a Vegan/plant based mayonnaise which may be ok for you. I can tolerate it fine. If you try shopping online at Ocado they have a good list of food intolerances to allow you to search for items then tick the boxes that say no soy etc. You can then simply find products with no need to pay for the shop.

Please be aware that allergy/intolerance testing has no scientific basis. Please see official advice below:

Some people may hit upon intolerances by chance with these tests. They can also make people eliminate things that they are perfectly fine with, but end up eliminating unnecessarily.

The only way to find out about food intolerances is via a FODMAP elimination and reintroduction diet ideally via a dietitian referral from your GP.
