I have had a few flare ups of my IBS recently which were bad I’am now finding that I have a most unusual pain in my low pelvic area like a heavy feeling it only hurts when I stand up or sit down again or when I try to turn over in bed I haven’t done any strenuous exercises or moved any furniture to pull a muscle anyone any clues this happened last year as well but only lasted a few days but this time it’s been 3 weeks

I too experience pain in that area along with the lower back often. I can't put my finger on why this as I too don't necessarily do anything strenuous enough to have pulled a muscle!

My lower back hurts at the moment and affects my sleep in being able to turn over in bed at night. Not much fun but try not to stress about it.

Take care x

I get back pain when my IBS flares up. Usually when it’s loose stools rather than the opposite.

I too get the lower back pain which affects my sleep and hurts when I turn over in bed. When I get this, I always know I'm in for a few visits to the loo the next day and I feel tired and washed out.

Hi, I would go back to your gp and get some more tests. It doesn't sound great though there could be many reasons for your discomfort.

I had pain in the pelvic area especially the groin both sides for years. Had all sorts of tests/investigations. Was eventually put down as nerve pain. Somehow I'd damaged nerves in the pelvic area. Was put on increasing dose of amitryptiline until reached a level that was effective. After years on them they started giving me hallucinations so weaned myself off them and low and behold the nerves had repaired and no pain. I'm also an IBS sufferer and do get non nerve issues in the pelvis when I get a flare.

The fact the pain only appears with movement suggests it could be muscular. Anything that is concerning you and can't be explained should really be discussed with your GP.

I have experience this pain and it also use to radiate to the left side and back pain, test all negative, have had ibs-d for years after gall bladder removal, I'm on merbeverine, omeprazole and was prescribed amitriptyline for tummy and back pain which has helped a lot.

It's pressure on nerves from spine.
