Side and flank pain ?

Hi

So having still got some indegestion pain although is now milder since first flared up before Christmas. I now have pain on the lower left and right side of my stomach just above hips and on both flanks so located round my waist as well. The right side is oarticulary painful just wondered if this was another IBS symptom or not ?

I have had some bloods taken this morning to check for inflammation and any raised levels etc. also done a stool sample to check for h pylori so hopefully have the results soon.

I was diagnosed just after Christmas and have similar pain, yesterday was excruciating and I was up at 3am with pain, ibuprofen worked for me and eased the pain in around half hour or so

I get this when my ibs flares. Very painful both sides. Recently had a very bad time with it. When it happens I take Alverine which definitely helps me.

Hi

I have had right flank pain on and off for a few years now. Ive had loads of blood tests and different scans to look at gall bladder, ovaries, and liver. I did have a couple of colonoscopies which found polyps which were removed , and diverticulitis diagnosed. But even after the removal the pain continues. Whenever i read about diverticular pain it’s usually said to be on left side , although in Asian people ( i am half Chinese )it can be on right ? I also have a lot of right sided muscular arm , neck and chest pain so I am left with a ‘ diagnosis’ of IB S with a suggestion the rest of the flank pain is muscular.

l do hope you get some answers for your flank pain. Even if you dont get a total answer it helps when some things are ruled out ! Best wishes x
