I’m writing to reach out to others who suffer from incomplete evacuation and IBS. I’ve suffered for most of my life, passing stool several times a day without ever feeling fully empty. It’s really debilitating and effects my life in a huge way.
I’ve recently had a MRI proctogram and have tested positive for bowel disfunction, I’m waiting for biofeedback but have been informed the waiting list is six months!
Interested to hear if anyone has had something similar or been through bio feedback?

Hi. I suffer with this but I just thought it was just my bowels moving too slowly. Sometimes I have to go to the toilet again after may be half an hour since the last because there wasn't a complete evacuation previously. I just thought it was part of IBS. I never thought it could be something specific. I may have to ask my doctor about it.
thanks for your responses, it’s reassuring to hear other people also experience this. I usually will pass stools 5-7 times a day without feeling fully empty, it’s very inconvenient and uncomfortable at times!
Hello Birch-silver. I've had a similar issue over the years and only now found some answers. Believe it or not, cutting down on fibre worked for me. I tried this after reading the excellent "The Bowel Book" by Michael Levitt - covers various bowel & related disorders.
