Know what would be really helpful? If, when someone has a good recovery or outcome and know longer needs this site, if they would report back as to how they got the care they needed - what worked, etc...
Sometimes you see posts 1 year old and you wonder - what happened?

I have a formal diagnosis now and receiving treatment. So at least manageable to a degree. It isn't always a bed of roses and you have to do what you can when you can xxx
I felt sore and tender in my bum for a couple of days after each one as I had 2 in a month as I had to have polyps removed both times but it was only slight discomfort hardly anything and had to have clip things put on them and I was more worried that when I went for poop they would come of which would do in time that was done early 2021 I just had to take the letter about the clips each time that I had to have any X-rays as I was given a bit of pain relief through a canular ( sorry about my spellings I ain't no Doctor ) but it was more of mind over matter but that was just me getting myself into a state about it the only thing that I can say is I found the PREP stuff was far worse than the colonoscopy as I didn't know when the poop would stop so I could get into the taxi worry free from messing myself in it well that was my story any way and each hospital is different to each other mine was done in The G.W Swindon well I just wish you well for when and"IF" you have yours done and try not to over think it OK!!!!
Hi, I don't think there is anything like a good recovery, as flare ups come and go. This year alone I've had too many flare ups . It's been better since yesterday. It's constant stress on finding things you can eat safely . Constant worry if you don't poop . I am greatful for finding people in the same boat . As I feel less alone with this .Wish you good health
I am happy to report that my day of travel yesterday (5 hours of flying total, divided by an hour layover) went just fine! I took one Imodium gelcap about 7:30 the night before, and then another at 7:30 in the morning the day of my flights. Thanks for the helpful advice!
