sInce being diagnosed with IBS I have been beck and to the GP, seen a consultant, and attended hospital for a variety of tests.

I have been in pain, experienced sleepless nights, bloating to the point where I couldn't get into my clothesand a variety of other things. Been on the fodmap diet twice which did no good for me whatsoever.

I have felt ashamed and humiliated due accidents in public places and afraid to go out.

Yesterday I got a text from my GP stating that I had h pilora and there was medication waiting for me at the chemist. She stated that the meds should get rid of my symptoms. I only hope she's right.

Took my first doses (there are 3 different tables)at 10pm. My 11pm I was itching all over and came out in a rash. I phoned 111 and it was 4.10 pm before the doctor phoned me. To say I'm tired in is an understatement. I have now been on hold for tge past 14 minutes waiting to get through to my GP for advice.

I feel too angry to be happy. It must have cost the NHS thousands to get to this diagnosis and I've had various out of pocket expenses also.

Why oh why did they not listen to me when I disputed the diagnosis? Why do they not do full gut test for everyone? I am sure it would be the most effective route

So sorry to hear this. Try and stick to the meds and if they do not help back to the GP you go. Good Luck🤞

what gut test did you have when you say a full gut test? H.pylori Usually shows up via an endoscopy…….

hi didn't have full gut test it was identified after they tested the latest stool sample. I do intend having a full gut test for my own piece of mind to make sure there's nothing lse urking in there.

Take a look at the link below. You will need a referral and will have to pay for it. The way I see it is that you can't put a price on health

The NHS don't do full gut test. Hope this helps.
