Recent hosp admission.

i was recently admitted to hosp due to black diarrhoea, brown=black vomiting. Had endoscopy say no bleeding now but have oseophagitis, upped ppi for 8wks. But since discharge dont have any symptoms except stool( now formed) is still black is this normal for few days as just started to eat a little bit after few days.

If there is no bleeding, how is your stool still black? Can you have further investigations?

Hello just a thought are you taking any iron pills ?, i am and these cause poo to be black , hope you get sorted xx

no iron tablets. I was vomiting brown/black like liquid as well & i had digested some hence black stool, but it now back to normal.

its now back to normal. Spoke to gp & reassured me its wgat was left in bowel from few days ago.

it was from the oesophagitis which i had digested.
