Has anyone had a HIDA scan test and if so, what was it like. I'm due to have this test on 18 July, as I suffer from IBS C and bile vomiting. Unfortunately, all tests so far have not shown what is wrong. Thank you.

ANYONE HAD A 'HIDA SCAN TEST'
Yes l have , it takes 90 minutes and you have to lie very still , after 60 minutes they give you a milky drink ,l had a banana milk shake.Completely painless just a long time to stay in the same position.
My results were negative
Good luck
Not not a Hida scan but had ultra sound, MRCP and Endoscopic ultrasound
What are they testing for ? I’ve never heard of the test you’re having
I've had a Hida scan and it does involve lying very still for 90 minutes in a scanner. After about half an hour you have to drink a thick shake drink. The test is used to access the gallbladder and how much bile is being released into the small bowel.I found it very relaxing they put the radio on for me. There is a monitor on the side where you can see the gall bladder lighting up over time, it helps to pass the time.
I don’t remember them giving me a drink, but I had a HIDA scan a couple years ago. You have to sit really still for a long time, otherwise it’s very relaxing. I think I fell asleep during mine lol
