Hi for the last 6weeks ish I have been taking 2 cosmoco laxative drinks which has been helping me go to the toilet everyday and not as much stomach pains as the stronger laxatives. My concerns are am scared to stop having the drinks in cause I become constipation again. ☹️How long can I keep having the drinks ???
I have recently found out I have large multiple fibroids in my womb that could be pressing on my bowel does anyone have the same or know anyone that’s cause bowels issues ??

I have been on laxido for about 18 months i have one sachet a day. My GP is okay with this. Also after i had my colonoscopy i was told by the doctor to take it too. Hope this helps.
I was told the same thing and had a hysterectomy, which made my symptoms even worse as my bowel resettled. It is still narrow and causes me great pain and constipation. Make sure it's the right diagnosis before having any op because you could end up like me
Hi Bassem1979Please do not worry about cosmocol. I take one sachet per day in just under a pint of water. It's a bit more watered down then. I have spoken to about 6 or 7 medical people doctors, bowel and bladder nurse and gynecologist etc all say its totally safe. I will take it for the rest of my life. I can go to the toilet without straining and helps my prolaspe and bloating. Apparently it just adds water to your stools making them softer so easier to pass and is milder than other laxatives so no gripping or stomach pains for me. It contains macrogol sometimes l have laxido or movicol all contain exactly the same macrogol ingredient so I'm not worried at all was at first but l would be alot more worried if l couldn't get any.
I do something similar with methlycellulose (2 pills daily) and docusate sodium (1 daily) - on gastroenterologist's recommendation. Like Poppycat999 , not sure where I'd be without them. Even then, I sometimes have to double up on the methylcellulose. As my gastro surgeon once told me, I've just got a "bum gut."
I asked my doctor as I take 2laxido one at night and one in morning . As I have slow and redundant bowel . Been on it for nearly 2years doctor says might need to take it ge said people have to take it for life .
