Certainly many IBS flare-ups from anxiety. Not sure if that's ever meant an inflamed colon. I think the only time I got that was from diverticulitis

You can get mild inflamation from stress / anxiety induced IBS .

My right side odd pains and soreness feelings have been put down to inflammation. I suffer ibsc and my transverse and left side of colon are full a lot if the time, so this means my right side is full of gas and stretched. I have been fully investigated, but I still worry and stress about the pains, and yes I totally believe stress and anxiety make it worse, and for me kicked started the whole scenario in the first place. Wish I coukd switch off from thinking about my tummy and bowels and how many times I've been to the loo and just get on with life!!Best wishes
