Haircut time.

Time for a haircut, if only people without IBS know what task it is going for a haircut, sitting waiting on the person in front of you to be finished, had to leave once to go home to the bathroom, as it was just to much. Sometimes if I can get relaxed and not on my worst day, with a few imoduim later, it can be a good experience, can have a decent conversation, but till your either sitting in that chair or sitting on the bench waiting to have your haircut just don't know how bad my IBS is going to takeover. I guess I never had it that bad (and mine's more C these days). That said, I'm immunocompromised, so didn't want to go the barber's after Covid struck. I actually just let it grow. When it's long enough to create a ponytail, I just cut it off. I always hated the barber's anyway. I feel like I'm reliving my youth (70s).

Yeah I grew mine a little during the lockdown, then the missus would shave it off, was not my best look. Nothing like a good hair cut though, just wish I could stop being silly and worry about so much. I am planning on going tomorrow, as Friday is my first day back in office, not looking forward to that, but I know where all the good toilets are. I bought a house last year after the first wave, as wfh I needed 2 bathrooms, best thing I ever did, would rather stay at home if I am honest. Thanks for taking the time out your day to reply. Besides it's good to take a break from DIY on my day, any excuse these days.

Fortunately, I'm able to work from home. Unfortunately, it's because I'm immunocompromised (drugs I take for vasculitis). I honestly can't imagine going back. For a number of reasons, WFH really works for me.

Me and my husband go to the some hairdresser (our son went there when he was little). But the guy who own the salon (and does our hair) is more of a friend to us than anything else. We talk about our families, he phoned us when he was opening up after lockdown, I can talk to him about anything including my IBS. He is about the only person I know, that I can discuss it with without him telling me what to do about it. He just listens and seems genuinely sorry that I have to have this, and he doesn't tell me it's because I'm nervous or I'm doing something wrong. I can go there however rough I feel and|I know he will friendly and understanding.

You could have a home visit from a hairdresser to feel more relaxed 😃

Just back from getting my haircut, worrying over nothing. 20years younger, now my youngest wont mention my grey bits. I remember the days I walked everywhere, was 20 years ago, but I miss only ever worrying about if I need a coat or not, now it's every little thing and where are the bathroom facilities.. I always thought I would of resolved the issue by now.... I know there is a reason I have IBS and I make it worse worrying.

Currently sat in my hairdresser right now and the memory of just worrying about what to wear made me laugh 😆 I know just what you mean … right now I’m just sat looking at my watch and counting down how long I will be

I have that problem in Supermarket check out queues.Waiting to pay and three or four customers in front and they all seem to have problems with their debit cards or take ages paying cash(counting out small change etc) then trying to redeem vouchers that are out of date . The list is endless, but I can get really uncomfortable and just try to close my eyes and relax to ease the urge to"go"

😬

Try finding a mobile hairdresser. Ours comes and cuts my husbands and gives me a shampoo and blow dry.
