Hi Shaun, try not to worry too much, my mum had bowel cancer in her late 70's/early 80's which was caught early and she was fine for a few more years.

Poor thing, That's terrible for you. Get all the facts, cry, sob, feel angry. This is your show, you're directing it - try not to think that BC is. x

Bowel cancer, caught early, is totally survivable. I've got a few friends who've been through it and are doing great.

I went through cancer treatment a few years ago and I'm guessing you're feeling pretty scared and pretty alone right now. Don't be afraid to seek any help or support that you feel you need, what you feel is okay. I don't know where you're based but there's a fabulous charity called Maggies which offers fantastic support to cancer sufferers and their families. If you're not near a branch they offer remote support. I used the Highland branch and they are supporting people all over the world.

If I can offer any help or support please message me x

Sorry to hear that Shaun. Both of my parents were diagnosed with bowel cancer a few years apart. Like you, they were lucky and it was caught early and have both been cancer free since (in my dad's case 10 years free). I hope that you are doing ok, and we are all here if you need to vent x

Sorry to hear your news Shaun. Keep strong and positive. Caught early you have many years ahead of you. All the best. Love Sue xx
