Tender Stomach

Been getting a strange metallic taste in my mouth after eating for a few weeks now which makes me feel quite nauseous. Then a couple of days ago following dinner my mouth tasted so awful I had a fresh pear and foolishly I didn’t remove the skin. The next day my stomach was so swollen and tender I couldn’t put my trousers on and felt so sick. Even getting up off the toilet or off a low chair it felt like someone was ripping my insides out. Two days on it isn’t quite as swollen but still very tender, had me awake in the night, it feels like I’ve got a fire burning inside me. I take lanzaprosol first thing every day for reflux so I’m surprised to feel the burning. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m putting it down to IBS as I do suffer a bit but never had anything like this before

You might want to double check with your gastroenterologist.

Lansoprazole should be taken half to one hour before your main meal.

Thank you for your reply. I was advised by the GP to take it first thing in the morning at least two hours before breakfast. I have been taking them for quite a few years now and I have been fine. My stomach is almost back to normal just a little tender I must remember not to eat the skin of fruit, just doesn’t agree with me 😕
