I am really worried

Hi does anybody pass mucus with IBS is it normal as I don’t seem to read much about it.
I did for a while. I was terrified. My gastroenterologist said it was fairly common and not serious. Check with your own doctor, though.
This is normal, particularly for IBS-C. Are you constipated? The body sometimes produces extra mucus to help ease out stools. If so you may need to work on this with diet.
Hi I have had ibs for years and I sometimes pass mucus. I am currently experiencing a bad flare up of my ibs I have had stool samples an have to do another sample in two weeks as it came back abnormal faecal calprotectin. Make sure u get check at ur doctor's if I keep having symptoms and hope everything goes ok.
It is part of IBS for some people. Not the worst symptom.
Hi there years ago I started having this I too was terrified had awful constipation too . It is nothing to worry about it’s just another vile ibs symptom x
Yep, I have IBS C too so I do often suffer with mucus
Yes, I always do. I think it's fairly common.
Hi guys new to this IBS thing. Had same mucus thing for couple of months now on and off with trapped wind as well and freaked me out. Stool sample and bloods normal so guessing just IBS. 49 so perimenopausal and think that also affects day digestion etc.
Dr said mucus nothing to worry about but your brain goes into overdrive lol.
