IBS KOLANTICON GEL.

Hi, I have been pescribed Kolanticon Gel for my IBS and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has tried it, and what their experience of it has been.

It lists constipation as a side effect and as conspitation can be a problem for me I do not want to take anything that may cause me a bigger problem.

I'd leave it alone. What are your symptoms?

I have been having really loud rumbling, gurling noises and feelings of something moving especially after drinking any type of fluids.I think the doctor is thinking it is caused by wind so I assume that is why he has given it to me.

Why do you say to leave it alone??

Because it can constipate you and you said you already suffer with constipation x

Hi, I have used Kolanticon Gel for many years when necessary, and found it very helpful. I too suffer with mainly IBS C and if anything it can have the opposite effect, probably because it contains magnesium. As it has three main ingredients it is ant-acid, anti-spasmodic and anti-flatulent. My only concerns are that as I have a hiatus hernia it can aggravate reflux and it does tend to blur my vision for a while, but when I need it for a build up of wind etc., I just regulate the dose and frequency I take it. I should try it as I have recommended it to others over the years.

Hi and thankyou.C is an issue for me as I previously mentioned so am not worried if I go the other way.

Having said that things have been.pretty good recently.

It is the gurgling and wind that are causes me problems my stomach noises are so loud!! and It actually feels very uncomfortable.

More so after drinking not eating.

I have decided to give it a try and see how I go.
