Hi I’m new to this site so this is my first post, every 3/4 weeks I keep having stomach issues cramps, nausea, pain above my belly button. I do have a hiatal hernia but had that for over 12 years, I’m thinking Ibs even though I go to toilet pretty regular any help be great tia

Does it coincide with your period or ovulation? Very often women find their IBS is worse during their periods and some find it coincides with ovulation.

Unfortunately not, I do suffer with gerd too so not sure if it’s all related

It could be, the two seem to interact with each other. If you have problems up the top it can contribute to problems down below and vice versa. Do you take any medication for the gerd?

The dr prescribed me with lansoprazole but that helped with my gerd but made my stomach issues worse so stopped taking them a few months back now

Yes, that happens a lot. Perhaps a doctor's visit should be your next port of call. So they can eliminate anything like IBD etc. But sounds pretty much like IBS to me.

Have you been checked for gastritis or stomach ulcers ? X

I’ve not no, just spoke to my dr he doesn’t think it’s a ulcer but he has just prescribed me some esomeprazole to see if that helps
