Hi there I have ibs c and heart palpitations but I have iron deficient anemia , so I don’t think they are connected or it could be anxiety x

It could be your 'heart palpitations' are actually gas after a meal - rising gas from the stomach can feel like something is thumping in your chest - i.e. pockets of gas exploding into your esophagus. One way to check this, is when you are having an episode, find your pulse in your neck (usually to the left or right of your wind pipe) and see whether the pulse is racing there. You can count how many beats per 15 seconds and times this by four to get your pulse per minute.

Here is some info on normal heart rate from the NHS:nhs.uk/common-health-questi....

Normal resting heart rate is 60 beats per minute to 100 beats per minute. The fitter you are, the lower your resting heart rate.
