Prednisone medical alert bracelet

I have been put on 40mg Prednisone and then after 7 days I have to go down to 35mg and 7 days after that to 30mg and so on. I was advised to get a medical alert bracelet but not sure what to put on there. Should I just put Prednisone daily?

I don't really see the point. Follow the logic and you'd be off it in about 8 weeks! Ask the person who has given the advice to elaborate as to why they recommended the bracelet. I would assume the medication is the cure not the cause. Although long term use can become a cause of health issues.

Hi there, I believe that the pharmacy should issue you with a card to let people know that you take Prednisolone. My son has one and so does a friend.

I have not heard this with Prednisone. I was only given it for 2 weeks so I would check with the dr who prescribed it or your pharmacy. Prednisone is for short term use. I have heard long term use of prednisone is not good for your immune system as it suppresses it. Due to Covid I would take extra precautions through. Be well!
