Rapid heartbeat with IBS?

I've had a very good few months where Ive eaten most things with no hassle (except for the odd loose stool after garlic) but last night was rough. I ate some battered fish and greens at 7pm then slept 12am feeling fine. 3am I woke to a fast heartbeat and a very unsettled tummy. It wasnt like I had to run to the bathroom but i had spasms all night and this very strange rapid heartbeat. Im severely emetophobic and constantly ask myself "will i be sick?!" so am aware the heart might be anxiety but i was so peaceful after doing a meditation yet my heart was still banging away. Its now 7am and i was awoken with more miserable spasms but ive sat up and the only remaining problem is that i can taste bile. Whats going on here?

Maybe it's time to give up the batter... I've needed to recently😒. God knows I've loved good old fish and chips in the passed.
