Colonscopy - IBS C

Hello everyone!

I’ve had a colonoscopy about a year ago during the summer back home and they told me my colon wall was abnormally thick, they took a few samples and said they didn’t find anything suspicious in the report but advised me to get checked every once in a while. Due to the pandemic i never went back home, and my doctors in Canada do not take me seriously at all and that makes me very frustrated, so I’m wondering if anyone else has a really thick colon wall and your experience? Because if it’s not dangerous I’d rather save myself that mental energy that doctors drain out of me here.

If its consistently thick and nothing found in biopsies then that maybe normal for you.

Thickening of the colon wall may be a symptom of an inflammatory bowel condition like Crohn's or it may be just normal for you, as Viklou has said. As the samples came back negative it seems you are in the clear.
