a positive fit test but suffered with ibs for years, as anyone had a positive fit test and what was the outcome please.
Government guidelines are if it’s under 10 ml , you will not be getting a colonoscopy, as they say it’s unlikely you have cancer , if over get a colonoscopy , 15% chance it’s nasty , good luck
My positive fit test was only 5ml but I had a colonoscopy due to my other symptoms, age etc. It showed severe diverticulosis but nothing else. Fortunately, this was carried out in early March, just before Coronavirus brought everything to a halt, and it saved months of unnecessary worry.
I know of two people who had fit test scores that were 20ml and 30ml, but both had a successful colonoscopy with no major problems. I hope you have the same outcome from your test.
I had mine come back positive this morning, really worried as well so I hope we both get a good result
Hi
It helps to know someone in similar position and l wish you well also, l am supposed to have a ct scan but l am so afraid, l have almost constant problems with my bowels and although l have had them for years things seem to have got worse since the lockdown. What was your number from your fit test if you do not mind me asking, mine was 26. Please keep in touch as l would very much like to know how you are getting on.
