Hey all. For months now I've had this white mucus coating some of my stool.. it's like a white stringy looking stuff. No other symptoms except a tiny but of red blood but comes every 2 weeks then nothing the next stool. Really bizarre. No tummy pain, weight loss , appetite fine. No diarrhoea.. feel ok in myself. Anyone else get this.

Yes, and my gastroenterologist has told me it’s common with diverticular disease/colitis, both of which i have.
Sounds like an intolerance. Try avoiding dsiry and wheat for a while.
Have you been formally diagnosed with IBS? Mucus in the stool is common with IBS. Are you more on the constipated side? More mucus can form to try to help ease things out. If you haven't been formally diagnosed you'd need to see your GP regarding any change in bowel habits/symptoms.
