Bad pains: Hi, I'm getting cramping pains... - IBS Network
Bad pains
Drink at least 2 litres of water per day, and try to walk at least one mile a day. If it persists contact your GP or GI team.
I only saw the doctor last week she had a good feel of my abdomen and colon although it was sore she said it was fine .
I've been through this. I eventually had some scans, nothing wrong. It just pleases itself really - doc said, don't start worrying unless you get severe pain and fever and malaise. So far they have been right (it's been going on for a few years). The downside is, if it's painful, there's really only pain relief to help it, and as we know anything with coedine in it causes constipation ... the classic advice is Busconpan and wind relief. There don't seem to be any magic bullets though. If it keeps on, see if you can get them to take a urine sample and see if you have anything nastier than usual in your system which might respond to antibiotics.
Perhaps try IBS anti spasmodic tablets, you may have a lot of trapped wind, I find they help. Hope this helps
Low pains with IBS etc normally turns out to be trapped wind in me, exercise normally allows me to pass it but sometimes I have to just lay flay till it works it`s way out.
Thank you everyone it's so nice to be in touch with people who have the same problem
