Cystitis linked to ibs

Hi guys

I'm new to here and I was just wondering has anyone ever had cystitis linked to ibs? I've had it on and off since April my ibs has been really bad as have had a few stressful events including losing my dog. I'm seeing a counsellor and having acupuncture to try and help because the doctors tried to put me on antibiotics for 12 weeks to get rid of it (it's not an infection I've had urine sent away) they made me very unwell as I had a reaction to them and two different types before that. I was just interested to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Yes I get pain passing urine, but I have the added complication of kidney stones so I often have blood in my urine with flank pain and all the gastro issues and nobody knows yet what's really wrong with me. I am seeing gastro, uro, gynae, dietician and now have raynaud's so maybe autoimmune??? Nightmare. I am sorry you lost your dog x i told my gastro to politely get lost when he suggested I see someone holistic

I had a hard to get rid of bladder infection, which isn’t what you have I know, but it may help. I now take D-mannose every day and it keeps bacteria from clinging to the walls of the bladder. I have no infection and no symptoms. Maybe the irritation you experience could be helped by this otc herbal remedy. Another herbal you could try is Uva Ursi, for bladder problems, but research it because it’s quite strong.
