Hey all

I just wondered if anyone goes walking as their part of their exercise regime. Would like to know how many times a week and how long for i.e 20 mins or 30 mins. Xxx

Walking is the best thing for me. I get a lot of trapped wind after eating and find that walking after a meal - so for about 10-30 mins after lunch and dinner help reduce stomach noise and spasms. Good for fitness too!

I go walking once a week with a group but it causes me some anxiety as we walk in the countryside so no toilets and if I need to go I can’t wait so I’ve had to dash behind bushes and fields s few times but I’m determined to not let it rule me.

Well done you xxx

I walk at least 2 hours a day & 3 or 4 at the weekends. Personally I can’t walk until at least an hour or even two after I’ve eaten but even then sometimes I have ‘an attack’. I’m so used to it now I just always make sure I have plenty of tissues/wipes/antibacterial with me. I usually walk where there’re plenty of bushes. I don’t know if my Ibs would be worse if I didn’t walk or not but I’m not going to let it stop me!!
