I feel like a hypocrite as i do try and help others who are feeling the same way, but I am not helping myself. Mainly eating takeaways and all the bad stuff as well as a tiny amount of healthy. Need a decent nutritionist who has an understanding re mental health. Am drained all the time. Mostly stay indoors. I kind of feel my stomach reacts no matter whether i am fodmap based or not so what the hell. Defintely comfort eating, gaining weight and feeling more insecure.

I think maybe seek counselling for your mental health. Take it one step at a time. By learning to understand your mental health issue, you might then have the tools and the emotional strength to deal with the ibs c. Good luck! You have people here who listen. You've taken a big step by telling the community here - next step is to find a counsellor or, better still, a psychologist who can help you work with your mental health. Most likely, it started much further back than you think but only someone with the objectivity of a trained professional will be able to help you see that - and it will allow you to realise that none of this is your fault.
Same. Try protein shakes. They help me. Ibs for 5 years now.... pills dont really work. Try a little chocolate here and there. Helps me. I wish I could stay at home all day instead of getting up for work and dealing with ibs throughout the day. Always feel tired even with a full nights rest.
