I was just wandering if this is a normal symptom of ibs as it is a new one on me.
I have just had the most horrendous period which has left me bloated and constipated but also when i eat it all sort of sits in my left hand side just under ribcage and can feel it go down! The pains quite sharp until it moves down into gut.
Just wandering if anyone else gets this with ibs or is it just period thing.
I just been to osteopath and explained and he worked on my digestive tract and my left ovary and groin said it was all very tight and restricted.

Any new symptom whether from the gastric tract or menstrual cycle should be looked into -especially if the bloating persists get your GP to check it out to put your mind at rest
I know it not anything menstrual serious as just had smear( clear) and had a laparoscopy year ago but it seem to b a new symptom and i cant get to bottom of it ibs or period related... i suppose it period related or i would get it through rest of month to.
Thinking logically.
It like ive eaten a three course dinner even though ive had nothing but brekkie. The pain under rib is only after food? So again cant b to serious or would b all time
Hi Lulububs, I also experience intermittent discomfort/pressure under my ribs on the left side, which occasionally radiates down towards the left side of my belly button where it feels like a burning discomfort and sometimes feels as if I’ve been winded, normally if I have a bowel movement or pass wind it eases. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to worry, it definitely sounds like it could be ibs related, But if you’re worried go get it checked out.
