Curious
Sounds like IBS to me very similar to mine
I've just recently had and endoscopy done and they took a few samples for biopsies i go for my results on Wednesday
Endoscopy up top end or colonoscopy bottom end
The top end
Remember they can't diagnose IBS by what they find. It simply rules out other causes of your problem. If they find nothing when they check both ends then they will say IBS. Hope you got your results now and they found nothing bad. Good luck
They didnt find anything they said everything looks great and no damage due to the acid reflux & thank u so muchhh
Hi Destiny, try this.
Eat three FODMAP meals a day, each separated by 5 hours. You need to eat well in each meal because you are not allowed to eat ANY food, fruit or sugary drinks or anything at all until the next meal. Absolutely no snacks, you will not die of starvation. You will feel hungry again in the last couple of hours, and during this time, you can only drink water or black tea with saccharin. Drink lots of water during this time. After your evening meal DO NOT eat anything else, no sugars, no other food, only water until your next breakfast. You've got to be really strict. Do this for three days, and if it works, continue to do this. Why do I prescribe this? Because you need that time in the last two hours for your stomach acid to clear your small intestine of bacteria. It is not what you eat, but a matter of getting strict control of when you eat and when you don't.
Good luck.
Thank You so much i am going to give this a try!!!!😘🙌💪
Please don't stay on this diet for more than two or three months. This is not a long term solution and will not give you the nutrition you need as it is very limited. I was told this by both a Gastroenterologist or Colon and rectal specialist. You can go on mayoclinic.com a reputable website and type in FODMAP..it will tell you same thing. Not meant for long term..there has to be better or another answer to this. Are you under care of a gastroenterologist?
Just one correction, I meant a "low" FODMAP diet of course!
Okay..☺. But isn't that still a little limited to what you can eat? Told by Doctor..only be on it for a few months..
I had the same symptoms as you a long time ago so paid attention to what I had eaten when I had symptoms and it was sweetcorn. Stopped eating it then reintroduced as an experiment a couple of months later and the symptoms came back. A few years later I had symptoms again and it was peas then finally beans so decided I was allergic to pulses. I diagnosed myself with ibs lol and over the years I cheat a bit by having a tablespoon of beans as that's the only thing I miss. When I do that I get symptoms on a much smaller scale. Try keeping a food diary for a while and see if there is a pattern to your symptoms by elimination then reintroduction, then you can eliminate anything that causes you problems. Better that than paying for meds.
