Hi Jessie, it took me about a week to pass stool after an endo op so i really feel for you. It was so uncomfortable post op. Things that helped me were drinking plenty of water, going on a walk after dinner every evening for at least 45 mins, peppermint tea and an over the counter laxative - dulcolax i think which i took everyday for about 1-2 weeks. Fiber does not irritate me so i ate lots of high fibre food. I hope that works for you but do go back to your gp if not as you may require an enema or something else

As a Registered Nutritional Therapist I would recommend the following based on you not taking any prescribed medication:

Plenty of water

6x kiwi fruit in one day (if you are not allergic)

Prune juice

Walking (when you can)

Supplementation of magnesium citrate (if you are taking medication, please make sure this does not contraindicate with this, or if you have a medical condition this may interfere with, please stick to the food recommendations only).

Always go back to your GP for further advice if you feel you are impacted.

I hope this helps.

I'd call the doc and say I needed an evacuation if I was that uncomfortable. It's definitely not uncommon.
