Colpermin & IBS

Is colpermin for diarrhoea or constipation? It says on the packet that it’s for both!!! How does that work, I don’t get it!!! I’m confused!!

They are just peppermint oil in a capsule that doesn't dissolve until it reaches your lower intestines. They are supposed to help with pain, I believe, but they never did much for me.

I take colpermin for pain and it does help but I feel it is making me constipated .

I use Colpermin mainly for wind and bloating and they do seem to help me with that. I did have a bad attack last year of IBSM, and Meberverine didn't seem to help much so I switched to Colpermin. They did work for me on that occasion, but I couldn't say with any certainty that they are good for IBSD. Probably worth a try though. It is just peppermint oil.

I found Colpermin really helped for the first 2 months and my IBS C practically vanished. Now though I am struggling again so I don't know if they could help long term.
