Hi all, I suffer with ibs-d but these tips are for everyone - even non-ibs sufferers!
Drink 1 pint of water as soon as you wake up, 30 min before breakfast. (Great for constipation!) I find with ibs-d it gets things moving early so you have more of your day without worrying when it will happen.
Also don't drink and eat at the same time. Drink minimum 30 min before eating or 30min after eating.
I'm also on an antidepressant that has a well known constipation side effect (Great for slowing down ibs-d) so it hits my anxiety aswell as slows my stomach down.
I wanted to share in case this can help anyone

Hi, I have often wondered if I should be eating and drinking at the same time, I never used to but find myself doing this more and more now. Can you explain the reasoning behind this please?
I was told by another ibs sufferer it "interferes with the digestion process"
Thought I'd give it a go and noticed the difference immediately. Less bloating, trapped wind etc I need to look more into it too, but seems to have a very positive result!
