I'm sorry and glade that other people also suffer with this dreaded IBS and all the other problems I believe are associated.
I have had sever lower back pain for years. First it was Pelvic inflammatory disease. Then a degenerative disk. Then IBS. Then I had a hysterectomy because of tumorous fibroids. Also Cist on my Ovaries. Then Recently I was diagnosed with needing both my hips replacing. I have a steroid injection in both hips every 6 months. When I get an IBS flare up which I'm having at the moment my bowl just stops working normally I'm neither constipated or have diarrhoea I just don't go without some suppository help. I get sever cramps completely around my lower torso I'm bloated and often feel sick.. As the gas bloats me it feels like it push's a disk out of my lower spine and the spasms are unbearable at times. I have been known to pass out on occasion. Just yesterday I tried to shower to ease the pain in my back. Because Buscopan, Paracetamoll, Ibruprofen, Windsetlers and Codine had not helped and I had a spasm which when I tried to get out of the shower my legs went and I fell. I believe I had an anxiety attack which was not good because then my breathing was affected and I began to get chest pains. Of course when the ambulance showed up all they were interested in was the chest pains and I went to my local hospital for an E C G which took most of the day. I did not have a heart problem and was released. I was told to go and see my doctor... Frustrating cause I have been seeing numerous doctors regularly for over 20 years about all these systems then I am sent to varying departments within the NHS.
My problem is that one department doesn't speak to the next. I know its all connected but what would I know I'm just the patient.
Please if any one can advise as this is a ridiculous existence.
