Yes I have, you need to be careful because it is in lots of food you wouldn't even think of. The only way around it is to make all your own food from scratch and no processed food at all.

Yes I have had an intolerance to yeast for years, coming out in mouth ulcers if I have too much food with yeast in also headaches. I’m not sure about IBS. Maybe

I've tried loads of exclusion diets over the years with no improvement in IBS symptoms, however, about a week ago I thought I'd have a go at dropping yeast from my menu. At the moment I'm struggling to know whether or not it's making a difference as I've got a flare-up of diverticulitis and, in any case, it can sometimes take a couple of weeks at least for any result to become apparent.

If you decide to try doing the same, I, for one would be very interested to hear how you get on.

As AmandaJW says, you really do have to read ingredients' labels thoroughly as it unexpectedly turns up in all sorts of foodstuffs.
