Hello! I’m currently 21 although 6 months ago I started having digestive issues that weren’t explained I was able to control them through natural medicine although I don’t have a definite answer for what I’m going through. Currently, I suffer with a lot of intestinal gas that builds up and sometimes makes me nauseous a lot, causes gagging, vomiting, and loss of appetite. The frustration has been with eating and worrying about what to eat since I don’t have an appetite. In addition in the mornings I have an increase in nausea causing me to vomit large amounts of stomach acid. Overall, as a college student who’s away from home this has been really hard to deal with and is affecting my mental health.

Digestive issues for awhile
Hi,
I am sorry you are having such unpleasant symptoms. Can I suggest you go to see your college nurse or who ever is responsible for health and welfare, mental and physical on campus. This has been going on for 6 months you say, so it must be impacting your overall health. Please get yourself checked out. There is no shame in asking for help. Wishing you all the best.
Hey there. You need to see a doctor alright. Get tested as this isn't typical IBS symptoms. Not saying it isn't IBS but it sounds like it could be an inflammatory issue. Don't hang about waiting for it to resolve. Get medical advice.
Yes I’ve tried but the GI is booked til January which is really frustrating and it feels like my doctor brushes it off since she’s not a specialist. I went to a specialist before but I didn’t want to do an endoscopy in that it felt too invasive and it seemed it would do more damage.
I fully understand. GPs are not up to date generally with this sort of thing. You need to do a gastroscopy. You need to find out what is going on in your stomach. They sedate the crap out of you and it only takes about 15 mins. Your only prep is not eating for 8 hours. Don't fear a gastroscopy! It is far easier than what you are currently dealing with every day!
