I was told i have ibs or endo.

I had same thing pain in lower left side and it hurt to breath and laugh and cough and i thougj this cant b ibs it not gona make any diff to coughing and breathing it got to be muscular?

So i went to a osteo and she agreed and when she looked at my back( no back pain all in groin) she said u have a bulging disk)

Went to gp he sent me for mri and i have a l5-s1 slip which is what was hurting not any of the ibs or endo.

So try that!!

It taken two years to find this out and i have been having osteo and it goin.

Unfortunately ibs is a gp get out answer when they know nothing!

Any pain in that area and they cant actually find anything it will b ibs but the hurting when breathing thing point to a Muscular problem around there somewhere.

Like i said mine was bad lower back even though pain was not in lower back it was in groin abdomen area but apparently that common

Oh...wow..👍🌹..not to butt in..but I have this pain too..Have had all tests done..nothing..no endometriosis..abdominal scar tissue from previous surgery, no hernia, diverticulitis, etc. But, I do have spinal degenerative disease and a few bulging and herniated disks and sciatica. I will check with gastro to see if this may be a cause.

Have you had any tests done..seeing a Gastroenterologist..or had a colonoscopy. There could be many reasons, but I guess I need more to go by, and a little more about you, (Diagnosis..etc)..so without that, I am unsure if you are male or female..I have the same pain in that area. First I was told it is pain from UTI. So..did the urine sample (cultured)..it was a UTI..took antibiotics..pain always went away and came back. It seems to really get bad when I am constipated..so Since it is the opening of rectum to Anus..I figure there is just stool there..backed up..needs to come out. However, I would feel somewhat better after a movement, pain always come back..sometimes sharp..sometimes stinging, or dull..with a "pulling feel"..sort of throbbing. Had a colonoscopy..everything okay. Had a Sigmoidscopy..everything fine they said. Since that pain could be a sign of diverticulitis. Then that said everything fine again..Doctor than ordered a lower Barium GI series ultrasound..everything fine again..very frustrating. Have you had any of these tests done..cat scan..colonoscopy, etc? To make sure no groin hernia..or Diverticulitis? Have you had your spleen checked? It may be enlarged..as that area is where our spleen is. Then they did another cat scan on me, and said I had scar tissue build up from previous abdominal surgery..but no ulcers, hernias, diverticulitis..but that I had a 2cm cyst on my spleen..which could be causing the pain. Another reason could be "straining"..while having a bowel movement..which a lot of water and stool softener Colace daily..seems to have helped. Definitely get it checked out by Gastroenterologist..and insist on testing..x-rays, lower GI barium series, ultrasound, Colonoscopy..etc..hope this helps.

Hey

Sorry just looked , been out for meal this evening just got in.

So i am female,44 years old.

This all happened about two years ago started getting pain in left hand groinal

Area like period pains but all time....

Went to gp and she was so sure it was endo!

I was in so much pain that got a emergency laparoscopy and they found nothing apart from i clot to easily.

Then they were SURE it was ulcerative colitis so i had a colonoscopy for that or diverticultis or anything colon related NOTHING!

Had bloods and antibiotics and ct scans on abdo NOTHING!!! Then a hernia NOTHING.

Doctor was then SURE it was Ibs, was told straight away by everyone they say this when there totally lost ... was sent to a top gastro in london as by this time my family had enough and was like were pay private, she was fantastic, she said there no way anything stomach related ! I have no stomach symptoms Plus she looked at all my cts and tests and she was like “ has anyone ever given u a ct , xray or mri of ur hip or back”!

I was like “ no” why?

She said i have seen these symptoms

So many times and it is usually a hip problem or a slipped disk ...

So i went had test and what do u know .... l5 and s1 herniated disk.

I went straight to a osteo and within 3 sessions felt so much better!

Osteo also said it so common the abdo and colon and left stomach pain and ur spine is in middle and will effect

It all... mine used to effect my wee and pooping i could relax muscle to go...

So mayb go see a osteo , see if it helps, ur know in about 2-3 sessions.

I did go gluten and dairy free as i do think gluten inflames ur body. It does not help u if u have inflammation somewhere in body.

I dont know if it will help u or if u would want to try that, some people think it bit extreme but i have done it for 18 months now and just feel better without it in my body.

Thank you..I have a case manager..so sometimes we are rushed..I don't have time to read all the labels, but wish I could. I have heard this about Gluten, guar gum, as well as Carrageen, ..I try..but sometimes given my circumstances, frustrating that I can't read every label. Excellent information..Thank you! ☺🌹
