Anyone else experience this

I normally keep my eyes on my bowels as I suffer constipation but the other day I took a full tablet of Bioglan probiotic - now I do find this taken in a small dose is good but because it has Saccromyces Boulardi in (which I do believe is better if you have diarrohea as opposed to constipation - so good for anyone who is the opposite to constipated and can highly recommend it) I am mindful of how much I take. Well I have had problems going to the loo for a couple of days so obviously had to address the issue and take extra laxatives to get rid of what I felt was backed up - sorry if TMI.

So this morning I was at the loo a lot of times but at least I felt I had got rid of the problem of not going properly for a few days - but every time I am like this and feel that I have had a good cleanse I get really cold - chilled from the inside. Do you think it is because you have probably emptied out your insides.

Oh, I get that .... makes me feel really feverish. I think maybe its part of the course. I just wait for it to subside (sometimes a couple of days) and then continue coping with the ibs curse as best I can. Hope you feel ok...ish soon.

Horrible isn't it - it's almost like because you have been to the loo the cold sets in - I think yesterday was a bit of a herx/detox reaction as I did also change my probiotic - just wish I could find a probiotic that coped with all my problems , not make me puff up my whole body and just unbloated the tummy.

Ive been bloated for last 10 years ... cant tell you how many things ive tried. Destroyed my body its horrible to look at! On enzymes at moment and I have to say although not cured it, it's certainly helping. Maybe you should give it a try. Good luck, keep the faith.

At the moment I have changed to L.Gasseri single strain probiotic which is supposed to target the bloat in stomach area - I used them last year and it did help - supposed to be the keep fit persons ideal probiotic as it is supposed to help with weight loss and appetite. For me with having histamine intolerance it is a good strain to take as a lot of other strains make this problem worse and I do believe this is what causes inflammation in the body and makes me swell up because some strains are not good for you (I do avoid those). But I also think a lot of strains can effect it and there are specific probiotics that they recommend for this. I am also wondering if part of the problem is SIBO and if this is the case then probiotics shouldn't be taken. I honestly wish I had never ever started on probiotics because I think once you start you end up having to take them all the time though professionals say you should stop and only take when required but if you bloat that is not always the case. I am convinced my problems were not so bad before the days of probiotics and they have made the problem worse. I have wondered should I stop or go to SIBO specific probiotics (Amy Myers website). I will try the L.Gasseri again see how I go and if not quit completely and revert to a homeopathy or perhaps try the Iberogast which gets good reviews. I'm tired of the bloat
