Hello, after some advice on safe foods for IBS D, I have been dairy free for 18months, I ate last night what I thought to be safe for me as it has in the past but I've had a flare up today! At the end of my tether as to what I should / shouldn't eat! I've tried eliminating all sorts keep food diaries, but it appears some days I can tolerate some foods so I think they're safe eat them again and they're not!! Please help! Best foods to eat and avoid!! Xx

I'll repeat what I said to Little_Miss_IBS: I think the only reliable way to pinpoint the problem foods is to go on the low-FODMAP diet and, once the gut has settled down, do the challenges. I've been doing that, and the diet got rid of my bloating and discomfort. I've started doing the challenges, and so far found that lactose is not the problem and wheat certainly is one.
