Hi gettingoldnow sorry to say I don’t. I have suffered with diverticulitis for many years now and I also have ulcerative colitis. What is it that you would like to know. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🌹🌹xx

Hi Jan .was diagnosed last year after having many problems .all I got told was eat a high fibre diet.i would like to know if it is normal to have an ache in left groin and when I eat it's slightly painful for a while after.i do suffer with chronic constipation but manage with lactase 3.3 liquid .not keen to take it all the time though.eating a high fibre diet makes me worse.i believe I eat quite healthy.i always have activia yoghurt everyday and take a high strength probiotic.as I also had H Poli.which have now got rid of.they gave me a scan which showed 5cm mass in pelvis so was rushed through for gynocologist who gave me a vagina ultrascan but he could find nothing.so for safety sake took blood test 125 cancer marker which came back negative so signed me off saying he thought it was compacted stones of waste matter..sorry for long post .and thanks for replying x

Hi sweetie if you are still having pain in your side I would say that you still have a infection there. When I spoke to my specialist he told me that food doesn’t make any difference. However I won’t eat a high fibre diet as it only ever made me worse. One thing I don’t eat is pea nuts as the can get lodged in the pockets of your intestine. It sounds to me that you still have waste in the pocket which is causing your pain. I was the other way always running to the toilet. If you are badly constipated always take enough of the lactase but enough so it clears everything out. I am no doctor but I would definitely go back to my gp and get some strong antibiotics because you shouldn’t be having pain all the time in your left hand side. I am seeing my specialist at the end off April if you would like me to ask his opinion for you. He is absolutely fantastic man. However I personally wouldn’t eat high fibre and I would definitely insist asking my gp for strong antibiotics. I hope that I have been of some help to you. If you need to ask any more you can always pm or ask me on here. Take good care of yourself sweetie. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🌹🌹😘😘

Ah thanks for your helpful reply .i am in process of changing docs so will have a chat when I see them .i have a niggle suspicion it is waste matter getting caught in pockets as well so will do a complete clear out tonight and see if there is a difference.i don't eat nuts or anything with seeds now which is a shame .trouble is I have only just come off antibiotics and had 4 lots recently for the H Poli so can't see them giving me any more but will be letting them know about constant pain.trouble is now I still have the nagging doubts about the 5 cm mass that is a mystery .you are a star thank you for your reply has been very helpful.i was not sure if diverticula patients suffer daily or occasionly hence the question .xx
