Hi everyone! I was wondering if someone could help me- for about a month and a half I have been getting occasional bouts of diarrhea, which vary in severity, that only last for around 24-48 hours but they come back after a couple of weeks.. now before Xmas I had either the norovirus that had been going about or food poisoning (I’m not really sure which of the two it was) so I’m wondering if that has affected my digestive system somehow and made it extra sensitive. I have never had any food intolerances or allergies so I doubt it could be anything like that... I thought maybe it could be IBS?

There is something called post infectious IBS (which is what I have). The best think is to see a gastroenterologist, though, as other things have to be ruled out to diagnose IBS.

Ah I see, thank you so much for your reply! I’ve also been very stressed lately so I’m wondering if that could be a factor also?

Stress can be a factor. When you have stomach issues, that makes the stress even worse. Not much fun.

No it certainly isn’t fun at all! Stressing about my problem makes it worse then I stress because I’m stressed! Thanks again for your replies!
