Hi there

I can't answer your question here and would say that others are the same as I see no-one else has responded. I think it would be better to speak to your doctor/consultant as they would be able to answer.

All the best

Just thought I would update as I spoke to gynaecologist secretary and she was most helpful .told me my Ca125 blood test came back 8 .she read through my notes and said I had a thorough TVUS and nothing was found .could not explain why ct scan differs but she did say gynaecologist thought it might be mas poop in my colon as I have diverticulosis but speak to my doc.she may or may not do any further investigation.so am pleased but still have nagging doubts.but feel a little bit happier on the blood test.

Thank you for the update and glad that the secretary was helpful, shame they didn't know why the CT Scan differs but pleased that you feel a little better and aren't quite so worried.

I had an ultrasound and was told I had gallstones, but no advice or medication offered. My doctor just shrugged!!! Then I had a CTscan on my pelvic region with the dye and was told I had diverticulitis. Again no help offered, just told that many people had this problem, but it certainly explained my problems with D. Now when my stomach spasms cause me to rush to the loo, I take a codeine phosphate tablet afterwards which calms the whole area down. I do sometimes take Imodium if the problem is really severe. .....

I seem to have had the same amount of scan, sets, colonoscopy etc... as you.

I have IBS C and ulcerative colitis. Went on FODMAP diet with a dietitian 6 weeks ago and it has been miraculous . No more constipation nor bloating. Last Christmas, I i has an ultrasound scan which showed a cyst on one of my ovaries. I am 62 so had tubes, ovaries and cyst removed. The cyst turned out to be an ovarian borderline tumour. Assured all was gone. This October I had a ct scan and was called back 6 weeks later after originally telling me the scan was clear. I now have a 3 cms nodule in my pelvic area. Going to another hospital Thursday to talk about an action plan. My Ca125 is 8 so I am not too worried.

My thyroid is also playing up and going for a biopsy today. It’s never ending. But at least my tummy problems seem to be a thing of the past after 20 years of suffering.

Keep pushing your gp if you’re still not well. Looking back at bloods for my thyroid, TSH has been low for at least 3 years. Every time, it said contact patient and no one ever contacted me. It’s only When I saw a different gp at the same practice that I was referred.

Good luck.

Wow seems you have been through the mill as well.i also have under active thyroid .so must keep a check on it.i notice you said ultrasound showed cyst on overies.this is what I don't understand as my one did not show but guess will have to wait till blood tests results come back .thanks for sharing .as it gives an understanding of how the system works.i am uk based and unfortunatly have no faith in docs or NHS..keep food map going as it seems to work for you.i will update you on my findings this week. Trouble is our bodies produce.nodules and polops which 9/10 times are harmless.thanks again
