Diarehea Is It IBS

As anyone experienced having diarhea after eating a evening meal,not every evening but most of the time,could this be linked with IBS

Hi this is how my ibs tends to be. For me the trigger is fats, particularly red meat and cooking oil.

Certainly sounds like it. Onions will make me have to go within 2 hours, although most things take longer than that! maybe 20 hours. I kept a food diary to see what aggravates it. Mine is basically fibre though.

Yes I think it is as I have the same problem, like you not every meal but usually when I eat roast chicken with homemade roast potatoes and stuffing all my favourite things, I did find red meat was a culprit so that’s not in my diet anymore.

If you are going within two hours i would say certainly IBS. Onions is a big one, and brocoli

Mine is always worst at night as my stomach just feels gassy and gargling but most time after a meal I have to go toilet sometimes it’s just small loose stools and not always diarrhoea.

Yes mine is caused when I eat something with nitrates it flushes out in about half and hour after eating. I have IBS so certain foods don’t agree

I use olive oil I cannot do hydrogenated at all or a lot of fat I also use organic rice bran oil or grape seed oil only.

Hi I know this was a while back that you posted but I was just going to say that this happens to me quite a bit. I won't through a period last year where it was every night after my main meal, very annoying and horrible! I started taking probiotics which has helped. I now have this happen less than before. I think it is IBS related.
