Help!
Dont give up something better is round the corner. It makes no srnse when somethings happen...we can go into a kind of mind shock but with help from the right people you will get through this. I think the fact youre reaching out is really good.
I hope you have a good dr or nurse who can help you get some counselling which has worked for many after steessful events in their life. Thinking of now as a fresh start. Cleanse your body of all the oldshit...let go of what you want to from the past. Find a healthy way to live the FODMAP diet or th LCHF diet have both helped me and others i know with figestion and getting less pain. It maybe worth getting checked for intetnal harmorrouds if you get trouble with the constipation side.
Best of luck and remember what dont work you can change till you find whats right for you. Xl

Hi
I feel so sorry u feel like this, ibs is awful but unfortuantely gets worse more stressed, anxious or upset u get.
I went to a alergist and gave up wheat( gluten) and milk and dairy it helped me not just with my ibs but i have endo and terrible periods and also alot of muscular problems due to hypermobilty and it has helped me with all of my problems also lost weight and feel healthier and fitter .
I also used to suffer with depression but i found paying and seeing a therapist someone u could just go and talk to and tell them all ur worrys and problems just off loading to someone, crying, screaming... she was also a hypnotherapist to which helped..
All what u go through and are goin through will live with u inside and fester aless u off load
So sorry to hear of your journey I totally understand that personal issues can make things so much worse. Personally I ended up getting antidepressants as I was having bad ibs problems after a semonella poisioning (still have issues nearly 1 year later) but am learning to accept the diagnosis of post infectious sibo. I've also been dealing with my sister having cancer and mother in hospital for 4 months. Don't give up it will get better and thus forum Is great for support cheers roni from Australia
It certainly sounds like you have been through a great deal, Bubbles. My heart goes out to you. There are just some times in life where you have the impression that everything is caving in and it won't stop. But it does stop. And things do get better. And when they do, you really appreciate them.
It is REALLY important to able to talk all of that through with someone. You have no doubt been doing your best to support your partner. But you also do need support, and this is totally normal. Often we try to keep it all in and "be strong" on the outside, but keeping emotions inside just lets them fester and cause problems long term. Your CBT therapist will do a great job of listening, so do let it all out when you have those sessions. They will be very beneficial, you can be sure.
In the meantime, you may find a few sessions with a local Reiki practitioner can help appease your nervous system, your emotions and your body. Not a miracle cure, but something I used myself and was glad to have through bad times. Do go and see someone who has been recommended to you.
Once you have "digested" everything you have been through, and this may take some time, you will feel better, more grounded, and be able to see more clearly what you want for your future. Maybe you will want to train as a CBT therapist, who knows...
Hope this reassures you, Bubbles
Alison
